Default splash pan for engine?

Ive noticed my 03' gt doesnt have a splash pan and i can see straight through to the ground. Are all mustangs like this? DO i even need a splash pan to protect my engine?

I don't think Mustangs have them. My car has one though, and I love it. The engine gets dirty SOOO much faster when it is removed. If it's possible, I think I might make one for my Vic when I get it. Don't want to spend a ton of money on mods, only to have the engine look shitty all the time.
