Default turn signal switch/elctrical

ALright.. so my last mustang had this same problem, 96 GT, the signal multi function switch fried on me and i couldnt signal... signals stopped working on the stang i have now, while the hazards switch, and everything else still worked.

So we bought a new switch, installed it, tested it.... and still no blinkers, and no hazrds even on the new switch. only thing that worked was brights and washer/wipers.

anyone know if this is a faulty switch or maybe some other more complicated electrical problem?

what i know is that the fuse box in the engine bay i have a 25 and 30 amp fuses that were blown, dont know what they go to as i dont have an owners maual to tell me. we replaced the 30 and it blew right away. also my battery died very quickly that night, so we left those fuses out cuz we thought there might be some kind of power drain realted with those fuses.

but i know next to nothing of electrical so does anyone else have any clues to what going on here?

*edit- found an owners manual online.... the fuse for the signals is good. the fuses that blew were for power seats and cigar lighter/power outlet.
*edit2- noticed i dont have a 20 amp fuse under the "ALT"(Generator Regulator), should I put one in if there wasn't one there before?
