Has anyone used a cold air intake that did not require a tune on a s197?

Yep, I've had that on my car since March and it hasn't thrown one code or given me any problems. I love my BBK. It's a great quality piece and incredibly easy to install. I'm a girl and I did it by myself, haha.

You have to remember that every car reacts differently to mods, though. I've heard of some intakes that throw codes on some cars, but not others.

 

On the 05+ cars if it does not need a tune for a CAI then its not worth getting as its not an optimal setup intake. Ask any tuner the good CAI are the ones that flow tons more then stock and need a tune.
