Default Lowering Springs

I'm so friggin lost.. I went to steeda, and if I'm looking
to lower it what type am I looking for?
Steeda Custom Springs, Steeda SuperLite Sports, QA1 Coil Over Springs,
Hypercoil Coilover Springs. I'm completely lost.. I'd like
for this to be my first mod.. also am I going to need to replace
shocks/struts/bushings?

depends on how low you want the car to sit.. i have steeda sport springs they lowered my car an 1 1/4 its not to low and it gave it a way more aggressive stance. If you want to go lower get coilovers or competition springs.

I have Steeda Sports Springs in the garage, waiting to buy Bilstein shocks/strusts and Upper/Lower control arms before I install the springs. Get it all done at once. Don't need the shocks/struts but figured it would save me from doing it in the future. Im waiting to get my SLP LT headers and SLP X before I get the shocks/struts.

I heard that the SLP LT's hang too low for lowered cars...is that true?

not sure but there are only 2 different brands on LT headers that will clear the auto tranny and SLP is one, so I am going with them. I don't think I should have a problem.

Ive got steeda sports waiting to be put in. Look under the photo section on the forum for a post by Csledd. She has steeda sports on and they look sweet. Im ordering my mach 1 shocks and struts today. YAY! Oh yes, and H&R sports are still on back order as of like 2 weeks ago...

If you are dropping the car 1.5'' or more u need new shocks/struts, since the drop would too be much for the stock shocks/struts and they would wear down quickly since they arent meant for that type of shocks/struts

Yes, most aftermarket springs have a much higher spring rate, which when combined with the lowering of the car, tends to wear the stock shocks at a much higher rate. Better braking is one thing, but its also good to do because if not, you'll bounce all over the place. Oh, on that note, I just ordered my Mach shocks and struts. Look into those if you are on a budget. They work fairly well for about 175 bucks a set.

I want to get it all done at once.. I hate having un-finished projects..
so if I want to do it right the first time what all will I need to purchase..
and I'm gonna go with steeda.. I would like to get mine lowered
about the same as Lances03GT.. I think that looks really nice..

Now remember, Lance has H&R sports, but the Steedas wont lower it that much. Steedas lower it about 1.25 whereas the H&R lowers about 1.5 and 1.6 in the front and back. Just something to think about.

Im in the market for springs too and have been lookin at every mustang web site known to man looking at pictures trying to figure which spring set I want but for some reason every mustang that has H&R sports on it always looks lower in the back than in the front.....why is that?? The steeda sports look good on some pics. but on others looks like stock height. I think Im going with H&R ss or the prokit!
