i am thinking about purchasing a b&m stage 2 shift kit, so obviously i have an automatic. Has anyone ever had any experience with these and do they really improve automatics to quicker and crisper shifts? Are they worth the money? thanks

Why dont you go with a tuner like X-cal or Predator. That will help with your shifting along with some other engine properties.

so after i do some smaller mods, i should get my car tuned and that will basically take care of producing the most hp out of all the previous mods and also taking care of the shift points which the shift kit would do. Getting my car tuned would save me the money and do the job of the shift kit?

Do the J-mod........don't buy a shift kit..they suck. J-mod will actually increase the life of your tranny. Directions on it are at www.tccoa.com...go to tech....tranny. have fun..its a great do it yourself mod that will firm up your shifts big time. Tuners can only turn up line pressure which is a band-aid on a sloppy tranny.

Yes i tell people all the time that they should leave there line pressure alone as it makes the front pump work harder which will wear it out faster. Dont raise your line pressure to get better shifts its not a good thing to do.
