Default Help with mods list??

Ok so here is a little about my self. im 18 and live in new jersey! i just bought a 03 mustang gt on 9/11 it has 73k miles on it. and as of now i just want to make if a little faster. but a little confused on what to get and what is worth it. as of now i have 300 but that will be giong to get the car checked out (brakes are squeeking) and then getting a tune up for the car. so anyway Here was my plan for the mods. and in order what to get.
Please tell me if i should get something or not getting it.

First off i have an SLP exhaust also it has pirelli pzero tires i have no idea if they are good
Now for want!
cold air intake
3.73 gears(or 4.10) cant make up my mind.
chip buy with gears
short shifter.

And this is my dd.

Save your cash and don't bother w/ the CAI. Also, ditch the chip, get a tuner since it's more flexible. Other than that, those are good mods to start w/.

you have a full SLP exhaust??and hes right dont waste on a chip get a tuner....as far as gears go with 3.73 for a everyday car 4.10s your wasting gas and it will start to sound annoying after awhile...if you plan on using it as a street/strip car you wont evn get to the higher gears to use 4.10s...if you want a really good CAI go with JLT they make some of the best ones as a personnal pref

I suggest 4.10s. Got em in my auto (driven daily in the summer) and I cant even tell the difference as far a gas mileage. As for performance however, I dropped 3/10 as compared to the stock 3.27s. I dont know about the sound though...I cant hear it over my exhaust set up

as for as that i beleive it is a full exhaust but not totally sure as i bought the car and really never checked it out. that is on my to do list as with many other.

as far as racing i will not be goign to the strip or anything the only time i would race is my friend or off a red light or on a highway when someone flys by be but other then that their should not be too much racing going on

well it is my dd and i really dont want to make my gas milleage any worse so i guess im going to go with the 3.73. and ok ill just switch the chip with the tuner and i will buy the chip and the gears at the same time!

and y do u not suggest to get a cold air intake??

JLT, 'nuff said.

Well if it's got the hemi and it's an auto, you might stand a chance off of the line, but once it gets going it hauls. Manual, you're screwed. No hemi, manual, screwed. no hemi, stick, good race.

I said to not bother w/ a CAI because it's a waste of money. Just buy yourself a K&N filter and remove the silencer, BAM, instant $40 CAI.

+1 it not worth the cost, trust me I have one and I wish I saved the money. For my friends with mustangs I always get them to just get a used K&N filter from eBay or new if found cheap and pull the silencer.

If you get a tuner, you don't need a chip as the tuner can calibrate the speedo for the gear change. Have fun, and once you start you won't be able to stop with the upgrades. It's addicting!
