dunno why you would remove the trunk carpet..not going to save you very much weight..

i understnad that it wont save any weight but the carpet in there will collapse cause the spare tire supported the carpet in the middle...this is a check/mod list as i go thru..i check stuff off..

I don't see how it can be perceived as a negative comment, but I said that because it would be awkward to not have carpeting in your trunk... and it won't collapse if you take the spare out, as it has a carboard backing or whatever under it..

thanks....the sti is still in the back of my mind...i just cant find an sti that doesnt have more than 30k miles on it in my area...also..the money that would come out of my pocket would buy me an s/c and built rear

ive found an STI in TX w/ 20k miles built w/ 489hp or so...thats available but its $22k...im worried that somethign is wrong w/ it
