Default NEW o2 SENSORS OR NOT?

I am putting a catted xpipe on this weekend and was wondering if I should replace the forward o2 sensors while I have everything down. The car is a 99 GT with 70k. Opinions please. Also is there any difference between the Bosch sensors and the ford/bosch sensors. The Bosch say they are OE and are half the price.

yes there IS a difference, even if Bosch makes the same one for Ford, as FoMoCo calls for tighter specs than what Bosch sells to the so-called "parts stores" and the ECM in our cars is sensitive enought to read the difference between them and at 70k, your O2's are pretty-much all used up....so bottome line is: replace them and replace them wth oem Ford o2'S

You're lucky, mine went at 60k. However, my dad has driven his trucks to 200k w/ no need of new sensors so it really depends, on a lot of things. However, the best indication that you need new ones is when you notice your gas mileage/performance dropping or if the SES has a code for the O2's.

hey I dont know if this is a dumb question but it kinda relates to this topic
but i put in new Headers and while removing the H-pipe i broke a up-stream o2 sensor
and im getting a new o/r x-pipe with MIL eliminators, can i take one of my old down-stream o2 sensors and put it up front?

Nope, they're different sensors. Up front you have the green ones while downstream you have purple and/or blue.
