Oil/Fuel Injector Cleaner/Gasoline questions
I just have a few questions. I have an 01' GT and I been hearing different things about which oil is the best, I always used Mobil 1 on all my vehicles, but I recently heard about this stuff called Royal Purple and just would like to know if it is actually better than Mobil 1. Also Im not sure which fuel injector cleaner to use, some say Sea Foam others say Chevron or Amsoil, which is actually better? And also, I always use premiup gasoline because i used it once by accident and noticed that it mad my car run better so i been using it ever since, but i hear some people say that it is a waste of money and doesnt really make a difference, anyone else out there get anything from using premium, cuz i can sure tell a difference compared to 87 octane. And 1 last thing, i also hear people talk about how the car is tuned for a certain octane of gasoline, if that is the case, then how can i tune mine for 91 or 93 octane if it isnt already?

as for an injector cleaner, i use the Lucas Oil Products fuel injector cleaner, and about every other month i throw in some Lucas upper cylinder lubricant.
for the octane of fuel, your tune is definately going to play a factor here, and where you live will determine 91 octane or 93 octane. the tune comes from something in a hand held tuner like an x-cal 3 or something. can also have your car dyno tuned.
the octane rating is something that people argue about all the time, but i like to refer back to this article in Car Craft magazine i read a few years ago. basically what it said was 87,89,91,93 octane is basically all the same ****. each supplier/retailer has thier own additives they put into it though, ie Chevron with Techron. the article actually showed you are better off using 89 octane fuel if youre going to be adding any additives or octane boosters because they will do more since the fuel isnt already super-saturated with additives. however, if youre going to be running a tune on your car, id say tune for 91 and leave it, and dont add anything to the fuel. personally if i had a tuner i would tune for 100 octane and tune for 89 and id switch tunes when im going to the track and buy the 100 octane and not waste money on additives
hope this helps a litte

Most injectors cleaners are garbage and do nothing. As for oil while Royal purple is really good oil its alot of money and Mobil 1 will keep your engine protected very well.
