Default Air Intake

On a 2001 4.6L Mustang GT, does removing the air silencer and adding a K&N air filter give you the same results that you would get if you were to add a cold air intake, and if not, then what brand of cold air intake is the best for my car?

i have the air scilencer removed and k&n filter and i saw some gains. i dont know the results on the dyno, but the butt dyno (lol) showed some gains up top and better throttle response.

if you were to get the jlt Ram air intake you will notice more. i havent gotten one cause i know that i am either getting a super/turbocharger or selling the car for a different model (mach or cobra)

Works good. I have done both. The cold air kits are a waste for basicly stock to bolt on cars.Save your cash and supercharge. If you are faster it's because you got a lighter wallet from wasting money on a cold air intake.
