Default weird ticking sound

I have a all forged engine with about 30,000 ticks on it since it was rebuilt. It is a high compression motor running 11:8-1 with forged flat tops, full PI swap done. Question is it seems from the drivers side of the motor I am getting what sounds like a rpm dependent ticking which you notice when the vehicle is under load. It is driving me nuts. I have checked the header bolts and all plugs and wires. I am using plugs two heat ranges colder which I bought a few months ago from Randy at Liberty ford. Anyone have an idea where I might be able to look, or might have heard of this before? Thanks.

By the way, while I am posting this. Since Ford has a large share in Mazda, anyone have any idea what would cause a protege 2003 to die after hitting a bump (it was stiff, but not stiff enough to have caused this I think.) car started back up after about 20 seconds, but seems to stutter in non predictable fashion. Thanks again.

I'm not sure on this one either. I get a ticking sound I can hear while driving when I give the throttle light pressure, only at 2k-3k RPMs. I haven't figured it out yet and it is truely driving me insane. If you find out, Please Please let me know. And if I come acrossed anything I'll be sure to get back to ya.
