Default replacing a/c

so im going to be replaceing my a/c compressor and im wondering if it is necessary to replace the "liquid line" and the accumulator? i was told the accumulator is like a filter so i can understand having to replace that but is it really necessary to replace the liquid line?

I got the same job staring me in in the face too! I have been dreading having to do it. All thats wrong with mine is the clutch on the compressor is gone and it rattles like a paint can. I have been told numerous times that just replacing that clutch is a bad idea and I should go ahead and do the whole thing.

Anyway... Im in the same boat as the OP.... Any tips or tricks or any other special advice is welcome!
