Either do the J-mod or buy a P.A. street/strip valve body. Avoid shift kit's.

You can put an x pipe and headers on your car no problem, but there are certain brands that wont fit the auto.

jmod is a modification you do to your own valve body to firm shifts. or, you can buy a new one already made to perform more aggresively. shift kits like the transgo are crappy and cause damage

I have had my TransGo shift kit for about 2 and a half years now with no problems. I drove it for awhile without a tune and it never shifted right in WOT. After a tune and 3:73 gears, i was stoked. Then i got a 2800 stall and a trans cooler. Try a shift kit and get your shift points adjusted.

I cant speak from experience, but I think people have had a lot better success goin with the j mod over any other shift kit. I can also remember numerous times where people have had their tranny ruined because of a shift kit.

the transgo is notorious for destroying overdrive bands. even under normal driving. if you hardly ever use OD youll have better luck with it. but i would do the jmod if you dont wanna buy a valve body
