Torque spec of valve cover bolts??

Default Torque spec of valve cover bolts??

I will be replacing the valve covers on my 99 GT. Anyone know what to torque the bolts to when I re-install??? I've seen it posted before, but I can't find it now.

I looked it up in a Hayne's auto repair manual.....says between 70 to 101 inch pounds, so thats roughly 6-8 foot pounds. Does this sound right?

yep, that's about right. They don't need to be He-Man tight. You don't want to break a bolt or damage a head and create a leak. Just cinch them down and check for leaks when you are done.
