well i went to take off my O/R x pipe to put some pretty little cats on it to make my father happy, and the neighbors.. and well all i had was a deep dish socket. i put that with my swivle joint and there simply was not enough room to make them fit..

so my question is how much room is there spoce to be in between the frame and the header bolt on the pass side, inside??

also the place i brought it to last time becuase i almost stripped a bolt put a orange sealant to make sure there wouldn't be a leak.. how hard would it be to clean that off... if i can get the pipe off

 

Very little room however it shouldn't be really tough to get to, especially since it's an off-road that you're taking off (no cats in the way)? Take out the o2 sensors and try all angles. Sometimes it's easier to get to it from the other side of the X pipe (motor mount side vs. engine side) you need the deep socket b/c of the length of the studs...put the swivel right at the socket and add a couple feet of extensions. Good luck, hopefully between 1AM last night and now, you got it done. Not sure what orange stuff you're talking about but should be easy to clean it once you get the pipe out of the way (and should not be necessary to seal if installed right).. hope it wasn't threadlock.. that makes a sucky job even more difficult
