Default New Engine

well i was going to fully build a new engine for my mustang but i just got a new home, so im trying to save money. does anyone know where i can get a new engine for my 00 mustang gt. a stock engine would be fine i could just take my headers and exhaust and transfer it to the new engine.

i live in california so if you know of any shops that i can buy the engine from and get it install at that would be very helpful..

thanks, William

Check craigslist. As for getting it installed...depends on where in OC you're at. Check with SoCal Diablo or Brothers Performance

join up at www.wildhorsesclub.com/mboard

Find Duane-V and ask him where you should go. He's a PIMP. Tell him r3dn3ck sent you. He knows me. He's local to the southland and knows pretty much everything.

You should be able to find one for a great deal, if it were me I would buy just the shortblock and reuse the topend to save some money. However, be careful as there are people out there who will knowingly sell you a blown engine. I would have one I would sell you cheap, but after removing it I found a spun rod bearing.
What is wrong with yours? Most of the time its not a big deal to fix what is broke

I have a shortblock you can HAVE if you come get it. It'll need a quick teardown and check out but it'll bolt up and it's basically new.

I'm up in San Fran area...

Good deal. You'll thank yourself for buying the built motor.
