there is a 97 cobra bored and stroked to 5.1 for sale and i was wondering what that exactly means and if it effects the performance of the engine at all in any bad ways.

 

Bored means the diameter of the cylinder was enlarged and stroked means the length the piston travels was increased. Both increase displacement and increase power and torque. However, there's a limit to boring so make sure that that limit wasn't passed (.03 over is the usual max).

 

that particular mod to a 4v motor does great things for power. They have huge flow out of the box but crappy displacement. The bump to 310cid really does good stuff.
