Question Where are Mustangs built????

There's this guy at my work that says the majority of Fords are built over seas. He said that more than sixty percent of the F 150 is built over seas and then shipped here where they get an engine put in them and roll off the assembly line.

My Question: Where is the majority of the Mustang built?

20 different countries around the world. China, Mexico, Canada, UK, France, Taiwan are probably the biggest shares aside from the US.

Basically, all the cheap stuff (trim, any thing plastic, etc) is done over seas to save costs while engines are either made here or in Canada (Romeo or Windsor plant) and trans are made in Mexico (TREMEC). The TOB is made in France (you can even see it in the pic provided by FRPP) and the rear end is probably made here. As for the F-150, the same is true except the manual trans is made in Japan. As for auto trans, I believe they are made here.

if you ever see a window sticker on a new vehicle, it tells you the percentages of parts and where they are made and assembled.

Yes, that's what I'm trying to find out. What percentage of the total car is built in the U.S.? could it be less than 50 % or more than 50%?

5?

I would say maybe half is about right...%49.9.9999.99 would be correct

I work in the Automotive Industry and most of the cars are engineered out of Germany, and wiring harness' are all done in Mexico, and then assembled up here in the states

TREMEC is, without a doubt, out of Mexico
