Rear End questions (Girdle and axles?)
Well I just ordered a crap load of new suspensions parts and spent like $1500. Now this week i'm also ordering a 31 spline moser axles, and an Eaton LS Diff from AmericanMuscle.com my questions apertain to the rear end mods. I've heard that I have to buy seperate wheel studs or something for the new axles is this true and if so where do i get the wheel studs that i need? My main question is in regards to a ne wrear end girdle....there are many on the market, but overall which is the best one? I want to order one for the new differential and want to get my money's worth also where can i get said girdle? Thanx.....my baby is gonna be awesome when this stuff is done!

I believe the axles should come with the stock length axle studs. I think what your reading when people are talking about ordering different studs is when theyre trying to get 3" studs for racing. As for the diff cover, I personally like TA's girdle. Really beefy and wasnt too expensive. I got mine from RPM outlet, but I really dont suggest you go with them. Their service kinda sucks. So just browse the web a little and you should be able to find a place that sells them.

what swervo said.
My superior axles came with studs but they were the wrong ones, so I just pulled the stock studs from my old axles and hammered em' in.
Word of warning... your ABS exciter rings will need to be pressed off the old axles and onto the new axles. You have to remove them BEFORE you pound out your stock studs (if you use em) as they interfere with removal otherwise. Similarly you need to install the studs before pressing on the exciter ring.
They're (the ABS rings) extremely fragile and I would just go ahead and order a replacement set in anticipation of breaking one or both during removal/install.
