Hooker does make headers for you and long tubes are definately worth it. You'll probably gain around 20 hp and for you, since you actually have room in the engne, it won't be so bad. As for shorties, the power gain isn't worth the cost or trouble to install.

I have hookers and Im taking them off, they fit like crap and leak. Go with something ceramic coated to keep the heat at bay.

The drivers side is cocked down more than passenger and it leaks at higher rpms. The oxygen bung on the passenger side was placed against the floorpan. Very poorly made and I would never get headers without a ceramic coating as the current headers melted the steeing shaft so I would have to get an aftermarket one another $179 when I could have went with Mac which is cheaper and doesnt have these issues. Try to get some LT that are SS and ceramic coated but from what I have seen from hooker I can not recommend their product.

I also have Hookers and the only thing that I can complain about is the exhaust leak on the driver side which I'm sure is a result of the slip-fit on the primary tubes. I should have put some RTV on before I installed them but whatever. Other than that, I think the are great headers. Welds and fit are excellent, just not crazy about the 2-piece driver header. However, use caution when buying anything made from Stainless. Anything made from 400 series Stainless gets extremelly brittle in cold weather and can shatter like glass.
