Default Headers

Hi im new to this site. I have a 99 mustang gt. and im looking to buy some long tube headers for my car. I only have about $400 to spend. I just don't know what long tube headers to go with. the one's in my price range where MAC, BBK and C.A.M. Are C.A.M. headers any good I found them on ebay?? and one more thing should I go with an X pipe or H pipe?? with or with out cats?? thanks.

Never heard of CAM, so I wouldnt use those. BBK or MAC are your best bet, youll be fine either way. Id look into buying some used headers, then sending them to Jet Hot. X or H depends on sound preferance, listen to some clips on mustangexhaust.com and decide. Cats or no cats is also your opinion, wont really matter either way. I guess it depends mostly on your location, cops, and inspection/ emissions.

C.A.M. looks like a fly-by-night marketing company more than a parts maker... I'd bet they're like Granatelli Moron Supply and they just find useful designs, change them a little and have the parts poorly made in china by slave labor. When they've made a GOOD reputation then I'd consider thinking about them. Not till then.

Keep the cats if you can. Save the earth while you burn the last of our oil... it's the least we can do in this sport.

Don't forget about install... that's gunna cost 400-1200 bucks all by itself. LT's are a world class m-er f-er to install in 4.6 stangs.
