Default Slp X:

i have been watching a lot of vids of the SLP catted x. i have noticed that the vids with the SLP X (catted) are much much much more poppier than any of the other x pipes (catted or not) out there. here are 2 examples:

Bassani Mids
O/R Bassani x
Borla Stingers

Stock Manifolds
Catted SLP X
Borla Stingers

i would have thought that the o/r pipe be more poppier. is there an explanation or no?

im not concerned about how loud it is. ive had the race pipes on my car and that was loud.

i want to understand why the catted SLP x's are poppy compare to other catted and uncatted pipes that dont pop when paired with the same cat back (ie the examples above)

mine does that too but its because of my restrictive catback. i have a junk catback which is xlerator. ill switch eventually...

Most that have SLP catback want to stick with SLP since is a modular design, you can interchange slp parts without welding or using the crush clamps. I wanted to stick with slp but they dont make headers for 98 4v. If I did I could of put on cats or went catless at the track with others you cant do this or it takes more time to do it. Slp cats are separate from the rest of the xpipe.
