Default simple question

ive got a 2001 gt with the bullet 5 spoke wheels......i lost the key to get the round bolt off and im planning on pulling them off and painting them.....so where can i find on on the internet???....simple question huh? :icon_comp

You are hosed. Those keys are on of a kind (unless someone else has other knowledge). You can still remove the wheel, but it takes quite a bit of work and some tools.

I know Dean (Trueblue02) has done this, so perhaps he can chime in.

how can they be one of a kind if i just had my tires replaced.....and i didnt give them the key? i was thinking of going back to that place to see if they would sell one to me :icon_pale

Got to a tire shop and see if they have one that matches...My old car was sold to me with out the Key and I went to a tire shop to fix a flat and they just gave me an extra key they had

In the bag where your key lock is, there should be a little piece of paper with a # on it. You need that in order to get a new key or else your pretty much screwed. To get them off youll probably have to go to a shop. What they do is put on a socket thats a size too big for the lug, then they hammer it on so it grabs the lug, then they take an air gun and zap it off.

take an impact socket that is one size smaller and hammer it on the rounded bolt, then use and air gun to remove it, i did it to all 4 locks when i lost my key and got a flat. took about 3 minutes to do all of them.
