Default realy bad noise

My friends 99 cobra is making a bad noise near the front of the motor. It stops when it revs above 3500rpm. It has no loss of power. What do think it might be. Its had the guts sprayed out of it with nitrous. No loss of oil pressure.

It would put you in mind of a tensioner pully locking up or a bearing going dry. But no loss of oil pressure. We took the belt off and it still makes the noise

throwout bearing? does it do it with the clutch in or out or both?

If it's like a chirping that only happens with the clutch pedal in, then it's the throwout bearing. Time for a clutch job.

The noise was in the motor. Just to update you he took it down the road and got into it and it broke bad. it mad a horrible noise then shut off. He tried to restart it but it won't. So now it is of to the shop to be fixed and a few mods like cams, port job on the heads and he will probly put a procharger on it or a kenne bell.
