Yes, they are coated. When mine came from VT they had some type of coating on them.

Mine did too, both sets were sealed in plastic with some kind of lube.

Yes. And before install clean them off with brake cleaner or something, make sure they are nice and dry. Then pour regular oil on them to lube them up real good then install.

Used cams get swapped all the time. Thing is, if you are paying a shop for the install, going with used cams is only a small savings.

i dont think it would matter but can i used my used oil for cover my cams while they wait to install?

Duh!! just somthing to coat them that wont let moisture through

like the car, very nice.
just giving you a heads up on bfg drag radials. i have a friend that had them on a mustang and he didnt like them. he switched out for et streets from mickey thompson. ive heard that you will get more mileage out of the nittos anyway.
