My friends 96 Cobra would run warm, i remember he got an STEEDA radiator and changed the thermostat out and it helped.

Talking

Don't worry too much, my car spends all day on the O in normal, but when I sit in traffic it gets to the R easily, and if traffic is real bad, it goes to the A. At the A is when the fan cuts on and cools it back down, so if it stops at the A no biggie, if it keeps going, start checking some stuff.

BTW i remember reading that early production 96 Cobras had a recall for over heating. I believe originally they had some sort of grill that cut airflow too much, and possibly another differance (can't remember), I do remember that Ford put out a recall on them to put the to "97 spec" which would not overheat. You may want to check that out to ease your mind.

There was a recall for the 96 cooling system to switch over to the 97 specs. Hence why when you are looking for 96-04 radiators, they say the 97-04 versions will fit in the 96 if you have the "factory upgrade."

Change out your coolant/thermostat and maybe go get a performance radiator?
