Someone correct me if i am wrong . . but

was it for the lonest time no one made any ignition upgrades to the 2v 4.6 because the stock ignition was so damn good? that Coil on plug design is very good, i really dont think it is neccisary for a upgrade . . .

Nope, not BS at all. BUT you wont see much of a gain unless you have high horsepower already. Some of the big boys in mustangs said they gained substantial power increases. Ill find you the link.

perhaps on some hardcore applications, but you wont get nearly the gains advertised on 90% of the cars arround

I was looking at the coils the other day also......That is an expensive mod, but I wonder if my 4 valve would benefit from it or not???

I am probably going to get these when I hit 75,000 miles. I am also going to change my plugs @ the same time...I am sure it's somewhere around 7-9 hp.

Maybe if you were running a lot of boost or a lot of N20

(by a lot i mean double didgets as far as boost goes and 125/150+ on the N20 side.

well that mod is out cause I will NEVA run spray and the only way I'd ever consider a S/C is if it was my play car and not my DD.

That's what I said for a long long time also. Now I got a bit of boost underhood.

dookie save your money. Those are only really useful at high boost levels or with giant shots of nitrous. The stock system will light off more power than you should ever want.

Also, if I haven't said it loud or often enough:

Granatelli is the worst aftermarket parts company on earth. NEVER do any business with them if you want a happy life. Their products are crap, poorly made, frequently failing, sometimes dangerous and always poorly supported (*not to mention designs they rip off of honest hard working people*). Danger Will Robbins! Dangerrrrrr!

Now you've got me scared. I've got the GMS upper and lower rear control arms. Wouldn't want those to break. I'm going to do a safety inspection now.

A lot of guys have GMS suspension parts. Hundreds are happy... dozens have wrecked cars or broken parts. If you don't beat on it like a race car you're probably never going to find the weak point. Problem is most of us whip our mules mercilessly.

You've modded the car, so you should be doing periodic inspections which includes examining the welds on the control arms and looking for evidence of cracking or bending. When you find a problem, take the time to replace the affected bits with higher quality. If you get into more serious racing like autocross, open tracking or regular drag days, then replace your GMS parts with MM or Griggs and sell the GMS stuff on ebay. I know of a handful of GMS K-members that have catastrophically failed in my area and every GMS part I've seen up close has been a cheap rip off of a quality part or a bad design of their own (and I mean a BAD design), the balance are reports from people all over the country that their parts were problematic.

If GMS would stop stealing other peoples designs and stop having parts poorly made in China from inferior materials and out of spec then they'd have a fighting chance. Till then, don't trust them.
