Default missing again????

So here's the story.. my car was missing REALLY bad after installing the cams, and my shiftlight was flashing like it does when you start the car. That helped solve the missing problem.. it was flashing because it was losing power, which it gets its power from the coils. We accidently poked a hole in some of the rubber boots on the COPs. So we went ahead and replaced all of them.

So I noticed today while driving.. I was probably in 4th gear accelerating at about 45-50 mph when I saw the shiftlight do that little sequence again. I was like WTF. I had thought I seen it do it last week too, but I wasn't for sure, so I just ruled it off as me being crazy paranoid. So this leads me to believe the car may have a miss again and it has to be related to the COP's or the boots because like I said, the shiftlight did the sequence and it comes off the same power source. I dunno.. it's hard to hear if the car has a miss because of the cams. It's not throwing any codes either of course, so where do you think I should start the troubleshooting?

maybe you should try a different place to pull the signal from for the shift light. Do you have it wired right to one of the coils? If so, that may affect how that coil fires. Just a guess.....

no.. its wired to a 12v source by the computer, its just the same source for the cop's. it shouldn't effect it

I would cover the shift light or disconnect it for a day or so to see if the flashing light is making you paranoid or if there really is a miss.

You could pull the plugs and see if any of them are wet or fuel fouled. If there's one or two that are obviously fouled, then I would say an ignition component. If they all look somewhat fouled, I would chalk it up to the cams.
