Definitely research it enough to see if it will pass any smog checks in your area.

would it not be cheaper to build your 2v and put a blower on it?

To get a nice, decent built motor will run $6,000 plus labor, plus tune. It will run you over $7,000 complete. Cool thing is, you can customize any way you want. You could go for a low compression motor to add a blower later, or go with a ***** out n/a setup.

OR, buy a blower and have it installed. Figure on $5,000 installed and tuned by the time you are done. $4,000 - $8,000 depedning on which blower you choose.

BTW, I just went down this road. I have a new motor from an '03 Saleen in my car now.

you need a terminator motor complete from top to bottom, wire harness, ECU, instrument cluster, tranny, fuel tank & pumps, radiator, intercooler & all accessories. Figure your total costs at about 10K. Not all of that is "required" but you'll make your life a helluva lot easier if you get it all.

build your motor and slap a blower on it. It'll cost less and be not-used already.

You could swap in a stock 03- 04 cobra motor and put a KB on it. It all depends on how much $$ you're willing to spend on it.

Hey, I won't brag too much or I will end up blowing another motor!

Yopu want makes a built motor worth the extra money? Each time you nail the pedal, you don't have to wory about the motor going south on you.
