Be very careful with cams, you need to understand there is A LOT more too it. Do some research and ask before you grab cams and they tell you that they won't work with your setup.

If you want cams Stage 1's for a setup like yours ONLY. Anything else requires a lot more work. Stage 1's will give you the lopping, but they don't start to get crazy aggressive until Stage 2. But like I said, with your mods and setup, your car can't support stage 2's. Do your research, don't dive into engine work quickly.

As for running rich, your car is shoving a lot more fuel into it then needed. Im not sure what exactly to do, someone can help on that part.

What to do, is get a tune i believe.
Negative aspects is just excess fuel consumption, and it shouldnt hurt you exhaust components unless you were running incredibly horribly rich.
Supposidly it is worse to run lean than it is to be rich, my old V6 ran lean, but not bad enough to worry about...
Still, another opinion would be nice.

Cams: if u want cams...stage 1 or stage 2 (w/ upgraded valve springs) should be good from VT....if u want comp cams.....get the 262's i think....nothing higher like the 270's cause theyve been known for bad PVT problems...

Too Rich: u wont really hurt ur engine too badly....but u will foul up ur injectors, spark plugs and o2 sensors much faster...also..ur MPG will be decreased if ur running too rich

What year is your car? Running rich will cause bad MPG and fouling. If you have a 96-97 just get an adjustable fuel press. regulator and fuel pressure gauge that goes on the schrader valve and adjust it that way. Also what signs are showing that you are running rich?

Stage 1 cams will work, just do some research and they usually tell you what you need to have or if it will work with your stock components, but don't use stock components if they have alot of miles on them.
