Default P1053 Code

Code P1053 (Bank 2 Sensor 1) O2 Sensor Ckt Slow Response

My 04 Gt threw this code I cleared the code and so far it hasn't come back but thats only with a hour of driving since the reset. Has anyone else ever thrown this code if so do I need to replace the o2 sensor?

did you recently install an Off road pipe? do you have the mils?? if not and it goes on again take to a ford dealer if its under warrantty, and tell them your check engine light keeps going on and they will replace what needs to be replaced

I have a bassani catted X-pipe so I thought the mil's were not needed.

You'll periodically get that code with the bassani catted X. I do. I've had my X for 2+ years and I get the code about once every 6-8 months. It's no big deal. I usually just reset it and go. If it comes back really quick, then pop your stock mid-pipe on and take it to the dealer so they can replace the O2's.

sensor one is the front 02 sensor not the back. This has nothing to do with no cats, unless i got it backwards.
