Default Throttle Body

Good morning everyone.

I'm curious as to what this is and what it does. I see that MT has one from BBK ( http://www.mustangtuning.com/bbk-62m...body-05gt.html ) but I don't understand/know enough about a Throttle Body to gauge the pros/cons of getting this as an upgrade.

With your car the absolute FIRST mod that you need is a handheld tuner. Go with SCT or Diablosport. The computer is holding back ALOT.

The Throttle Body will give you better throttle response and maybe a tiny bit of topend power. Its not really worth it to me. I know that a whole intake elbow/TB on 99-04 GTs will only gain like 5whp. :wallbash:

05 GT mods are: Tuner, Gears, Intake, and Exhaust. If you want more power than that then youll be better off just buying a supercharger.

deffiantly do a intake and a tuner. The TB is not needed at your power level and will give little results.

I appreciate your replies and input. I'm not quite ready for a gear change, so I think it's gonna be the JLT C.A.I., SCT X-Calibrator 2, and SLP LoudMouths.

Thanks again guys.

good choice of mods, but remeber this the SLP is loud and if you wanna run a off-road h-pipe or x-pipe its gonna be stupid loud. Think of that before hand.

When buying and going with a tuner, should you also buy a chip at the same time ? Or is the tuner alone the first step? Mark M

a tuner and or chip do the same thing, they alter the stock computer settings to add more timing fix the a/r fuel along with a ton of tother things i dont wanna get into. Its either you get one or the other, or in the case of the 05-06 cars you can only get a tuner for the car you cant add a chip to it.
