Default Can you feel 4:10's???

Hi,

I was wondering before I installed them, Can you really feel the difference between 3:27's and 4:10's?? I installed 4:10's into my dodge dakota (V6) and I can feel the difference somewhat, but not to the extent if I had to do it again I don't think I would get it done!!! I just want to know from all of you that have done it is it worth while, and if you can really feel it in the seat of your pants????? By the way I went from 3:55 to 4:10's in my Dakota.

I picked up almost half a second in the 1/4 by switching from 3.27s to 3.90s

4:10's, yah, it is a real kick in the pants dude, seriously. especially when teamed up with a Diablo or probably better yet the SCT.
Thanks Jack!!!! I didn't want to spend the 300.00 its gonna cost me for the gears plus install if I wouldn't even feel it!!!!! Tired of spending money for nothing if you know what I mean!!!!! I have spent about 2000 for bolt ons for my Dakota and I don't even think I would run 14's in it!!!! Yeah, they are slow trucks!!!!! Except the RT's, I think the RT's would take my GT!!!!!!

R U Serious??????? I have personally SEEN one of those R/T's beat a 99-04mustang GT. They WILL run for a truck. You didnt beat one in your 4.3l S10, sorry but thats BS.

Man I want gears so bad.

Im gonna say is bs to that as well. Before I bought my mustang I traded in my 03 Dakota RT reg. cab. Your right they aren't that fast but the only way I was losing to any s10, was if it had a 350 swapped in.

alright whatever, I not going to argue. I know somone w/ a 5.9rt ext. cab and I beat him twice w/ the s10. vortec 4.3's are vortec 350 block -2 cylinders plus it was a 5spd. w/ 373's get over it I beat him.
I beat him light to light. Im not saying I would have on a 1/4 or anything.

350 block-2 cylinders = not a 350 block. Its all good though I believe you could have beat a stock one with a modified S-10.

ok may not be a "350 block"-2 cylinders but its the same block used for the vortec 350 instead of having 8 it has 6. (this is why you can bore out 4.3's so much)
either way an R/T probably would have beaten' me on a track, im just saying I got him from light to light.
Like I said I don't want to cause an argument. And I would'nt lie about beating an R/T on an internet forum, I have better things to do....
