Default Mach I Mods

What are some good ways to get through the 1/4 mile faster with a Mach I for fairly cheap?

I'll probably be getting a tuner for better performance and mileage, but is there anything else fairly cheap?

a used mid pipe like an off-road h-pipe or x-pipe will give you a nice gain and is really cheap i got mine used for 70 bucks local. i dropped 3 tenths with a h-pipe and cai alone. and the cai doesnt do much as we all know on a 2v.

Drag radials and mid pipe......There was a video post on here a while back where a guy in a Mach 1 ran a 12.6 1/4 with ONLY DR's and Mac Prochamber...everything else stock......Mach's are low to mid 13 second cars stock so it doesn't take much at all to get into the 12's.

I agree with the above statements.
Gears
sticky tires
exhaust
cold air kits......I seem to recall reading several articles that stated the Mach's benefited more from this mod than the 2v's. I would look into that, might be a good cheap power mod.
With a few mod's they can run mid 12's very easy.

My mach responded pretty well to some very minor bolt ons, but if you change your catback, mid pipe and CAI you'll need a tune cause the Mach engines are pretty sensitive and the A/F goes all out of whack.
