96 GT what rear end gears?

What ratio if the 8.8 in the stock 96 GT with the 4R70W? Also how do you determine wether the 4R70W is std 2.40 or wide 2.84? Thank you

The "W" in 4r70w stands for wide ratio. So first gear is 2.84. I believe you have 3.27s in the rear end only I have seen a couple claim they had 3.08s.

I believe all 94+ Gt's came with 3.27's....

I thought a few had 2.72... and 3.27 came in around 01 - 03 - i could be wrong
