Everyone does know that you can turn in your tag recipts for your car as well right? (may not add up a whole lot of extra $$$, but hey, any dollar you get back from uncle sam is worth it!)

And, if you take a bag of clothes to Good Will or something, you can turn in that recipt as well...There are tons of deductions, you just gotta know them, and have an accountant that reminds you of the ones you forgot!

Or if you know someone to give you a 10-99 you can write off ANYTHING and EVERYTHING...restraunts, gas, miles driven, you CAR, medicine, haircuts (grooming), internet, phone, insurance, etc etc...it goes on for miles...

Income taxes were unconstitutional till the 16th ammendment too..... Congress had to change the constitution so they could suck us dry. The founding fathers would be rolling in their graves if they knew what government has turned into.

Yea, they also stated that it was built upon a small nation and as it grew throughout the years it would become corrupt and not work....

To due this 100% legal, you would have to stop your tithe. Then, have your Mom tithe for the both of you, but you give her money. You call it a rental expense. Then when she gets the return, she "gifts" the portion of the refund back to you. This is 100% legal as your Mom can gift up to $10k per year to you with no tax implication.

People do this type of thing all the time. The IRS makes rules and smart people can figure out how to legally reduce their tax liability using the rules that the IRS makes up. People who make more money, usually do more of this stuff because the upside is higher and they tend to be more educated. They also tend to be the type that hire's professionals that let then in on all the tricks.

My taxes? Holy hell, you should see my return. It cost me about $400 to pay someone to do my taxes and believe me, that $400 is an investment I get back many times over.

As far as what you have now, that is your call. Remember, the IRS does not require any receipts for any single donation less then $250.

I love that argument. It's just like when someone says they get FREE medical. Yea sure....you are still paying for something just because it is not itemized.

Since your mom is claiming you as a dependent I believe you have to file a 1040ez and I don't think donations can be deducted on the ez

just wondering, why didnt you just shorten the stock antenna? i had a (i think) 14 inch antenna on mine but it was the chrome one and after a while it started looking horrible so i just got my stock antenna back out and cut it with a dremel. it looks and works better than the chrome 14" one i took off. plus it was a free mod.
