Help with girls....er...actually, a girl
Ok, so this girl I met the beginning of last september had been a great friend of mine all semester. We talked a LOT, hung out a bunch, she's beautiful, and overall, probably one of the greatest girls I've ever met. No girl ever made me think about marriage more, bc no other girls were really that great. So now we decided that we shouldn't get together(for reasons that are WAY too complicated to explain) so we're tryin the whole 'just friends' deal but it's tough...I sleep in the go to school all week and then work evening..and I'm online after work and she's ALWAYS online too and we still usually talk but...what are some things I can do to get my mind off of her? I'm always thinkin about her but I know it's best that we aren't an item right now.

Cut all contact with her. Cuase if you don't you'll still be thinking about her right?!?! And if that don't work..............you can always sleep with her. I don't know how that'll take your mind off her...but at least you got to hit it.

risk it. talk about a relationship with her, if shes down for it but thinks itll **** **** up see if shell give it a chance. u dont know whatll happen. i made a risk for the relationship im in and everything is perfect, iv never been happier

There's nothing better than being able to like the girl you love. If you 2 get along good then you are compatable. (very important). I personally find it difficult to have a friendship with another woman without some kind of sexual tension. That's normal because it's in our evolution that we try to win the female for breeding purposes. Just tell her you love her and watch how she reacts. It may blow up in your face, but it also might start up her emotions she has for you. What do you have to loose. I say tell her you want to try a date or 2 or 3.. 
Oh yeah, If she lets you kiss her, dont stick your tongue down her thoat unless she does it first. LOL

lol I appreciate the help..but guys..it aint gonna happen with me and her. Maybe down the road, yes. But as of right now, it just wont happen. She's a few years younger than me and her parents woudlnt approve and basically everything would be crappy. That's why I'm sayin that I wanna be just friends right now but it's hard to get her off my mind and I wanna know what to do...

Alright Dannyb my advise would be to stay friends with her. If you cut off all contact together that is just going to make you miserable and you will go the rest of your life wondering what if. Now you can talk to her about it and see what she thinks about a relationship. Ask her how she feels about you, tell her how you feel about her. Doing this does not mean that you are going to have a relationship with her at this moment. As far as taking your mind off of her that is up to you. Hang out with your friends, work on your car, or something like that. There is nothing wrong with thinking about her though, try not to let it make you miserable but be happy that she atleast is still friends with you because as long as she is your friend then there is still a chance for you two.

Dont worry danny, stay friends with her, but do something like going to a gym, or working on your car, or reading a book to keep your mind off of her. Im going through the same thing (well kinda) and I know how hard it is. Also, hang out with your guy friends, and do stuff with them, and that will keep you distracted.

Ok the best idea is to get a picture of her and post it before you get banned. I must see the girl that makes you think of marriage cause no girl just by talking to her a few times and looking at her should make you do that.

I have been stuck in the same boat as you several times, And im in the same **** with some girl right now you can ask Grimmz i use to always ask him for advice. But pretty much if shes a lot younger then you and her parents dont approve that might be whats holding her back from you, What you could try to do is have the ***** to talk with her parents and let them know your serious and dont just want to **** around. And two, if she still dosn't want to give an attempt to make it work, as hard as this sounds, dont kill yourself over it, your going to trash years of your life waiting till she can date you without a problem to then find out she wasn't all she seemed to be?, remember man your still young, you will eventually realize her little high school buddies are no where as cool as a college guys, girls get to this stage that they realize they want to date a college guy with a car that makes money blah blah blah, its an attention thing girls have. Just give it time, and you gotto have the ***** to talk to her parents in person. I had to do it once and it actually worked out. Message me on AIM one of these days to talk.

hang out with new girls. she may be the best one so far, but i'm sure there's better since you guys aren't together, obviously something's not working. it won't be easy but with time you'll begin to see her as just a friend again. one of my BEST friends is a guy who, when we first started hanging out, decided he was going to confess his true feelings. we talked about it, got a little distant, but now we're like brother and sister.

im glad people are seeing things my way. the hotter the chick the worse you gotta treat her. treat her nice the first day you meet her. thats it. hotties are used to guys kissing their *** 24/7. they want what they cant have, so make your attention seem like something they cant have. and maybe from time to time tease them with a little kindness, just to keep em hoping..

I was in the same damn situation for a while dude. Honestly, yer screwed. Just forget about her and find another chick.
This whole friendship is gonna be FUBAR cause you cant stop thinking of her in a way that is more than friends.
Give Dom's advice a shot, it is about the best advice if you want to get with her, however, if that dont work then just forget about her.
I had this female friend for about the past 6 months, good friend, however, i couldnt help but have a slight crush on her. Then every now and then she would want to maake out or something, just caused more problems. This crap caused me a LOT of grief. She would dangle just enough in ffront of me to keep me interested.
Finally she pissed me off one day and i just really laid into her, did my best to offend her in ways she could never have imagined, i said some real rotten things to her and told her to go away and never bug me again. I felt real bad about it, but my goal was to get rid of her, cant be friends with her if im wanting more, all it does is cause me grief.
So she was mortally offended by what i said and i diddnt hear from her for like, 2 days, now she is there again. I just do my best to ignore her dumbass
Anyways dude, it i almost impossible being friends with a girl unless A) you are not attracted to her, or B) you already hit it.
