Default Steeda Side Exhaust Kit

I like the way the Steeda Side Exhaust Kit looks, and I am thinking about getting it this summer. Dose anyone know how it sounds, and what kind of performance increase or decrease I can expect? Also I was wondering if it will work with a SLP x-pipe and Header setup?

It's my understanding rear exhausts give u better gains... but the gains realized with a catback are minimal... I believe either Steeda or Magnaflow have actually posted a 2 or 3 hp gain over stock (which was a first for side exhausts)...

2 big complaints with side exhaust... the first is it lowers the clearance of your car a few inches... not good if u have speed bumps to go over... the second is it apparently leaves soot all over your rear tires making the rims look terrible...

The 2nd is the main reason I didn't go with them... I thought it would be fun to have something a bit interesting on the car... went with SLP Loudmouth instead though.

they sound just like borla mufflers. and like he said it can make the rear ruims look dirty. but i never have had that problem with side exhuast.

you would have to get some custom pipework done on your x or h pipe that you currently have. Steeda has a kit that will connect from the headers all the way down but the x or h pipes will not fit right without any modifications.

Here is a little tip for everyone that wants side exhaust and that race. Get custom piping done and have it point towards your rear tires. This will always keep your tires warm and more sticky all the time. Better traction and better times.
