What would you do.....
I currently have a GT conv. S/C making 360hp and 377tq. I currently have the option of a 2003 Cobra. For a very good price. What to do. Wife says refinance but I could possibly finance the Cobra at a smaller payment. Maybe saving an additional 150-200 a month on the car payment. What do I do

Think about that cobra block and then that should be enough said lol.
naw seriously though.. if you can afford it, do it. Just make sure you're not gonna get screwed by your insurance company.

Oh insurance is very cheap for me no tickets or anything. No the blower will go with the car. I'm currently TDY in Little Rock. And found this cobra in St Louis I think I'll go and look at it drive it and see how much of a deal I can get for my car.

Psh, no question. Get rid of your car, BUT get the blower off of it. That is an extra 2500 bucks, do NOT sell it on the car. If you do that, you must figure in the cost of all the stuff you added into what you are already losing in the deal.

Here is a stupid question somebody might be able to answer for me. How long is interest paid on a car note with fixed APR. I think I might be getting screwed on payments or Ford is way ****ing behind on updating my payments. I've paid on my car over 1.5 yrs doesn't interest normally stop after the first year of payments. I've been ahead of payment's since I originally bought the GT. I checked the pay off of my car and it doesn't seem right. Anyway without discussing financials with yall Isn't the 1st year of payments paid towards the interest then after that the full monthly payment goes directly towards the principal?

Take your blower setup off and sell it. the dealership will claim they are giving you a good deal for it but you will get shafted. If you trade it in, take it off. If you sell privately, keep it on and advertise. You can add to KBB price with blower.

yourt gonna be gone a lot with this new job your trainning for. you already know your going to be going down range a lot so you will be making more money. buy a beater and put a for sale sign on or do the trade in if your gonna get 18k. then your gonna be in a cobra. soon after that you will have a 2.2 on top and then you wont know what to do but go for some nitrous.

actually the interest does not stop after the first year...you keep paying a little interest everypayment...we just did this in class at school and its really gay how much you pay interest and how much actually goes towards your principal...
GET THAT COBRA
GET THAT COBRA

It takes 2 years before you actually start taking a chunk off the principle. So if you got a 4-5 year note, the first 2 of that is interest. Sucks..I sold my Z71 because I got tired of making 2 payements, 2 insurances. But they are right..take the blower off and sell it..I had a 6" procomp lift 35" mickey thompsons, and about 3 grand in stereo..they were gonna give me bluebook. nothing more for the extra **** I had on there...Then they will turn around and make a butt load more profit off your ***...screw them..dont give them easy money. make them earn that sale.

Wait until you buy a house. As an example, if you get a lousy 100k loan on a 30 year mortage, in the first year prolly $50 goes to principal and $600 goes to interest on your payments.
So, on your car loan, sure the first year is basically all interest, but so is the last year too, it just is that with each payment,m a little less goes towars interest.
Nope, Ford is not screwing you, it's called paying the man! This is why it is impossible to ever get ahead in life buorrowing money for everything.
Now, on to your question:
Blown GT Vert VS Cobra
The Cobra is the better car! PERIOD. BUT, this is prolly a very poor financial decision. Why, because you won't get zhit for your trade no matter what the salesmen is telling you now. The only one making money on this deal is the dealer.
The other big warning to me is you are payment shopping. Anyone who payment shops, always loose sight of the forest in the trees. Hell, I could get you in a brand-new Vette with lower payments then your GT, if you want to pay on it long enough. Do yourself a favor and break this habit of looking at payments. If you don't, it will be hard to ever have anything in life. Look at the big picture, not at the monthly payment.

Your payment on a Cobra may be the same but how many more years are you going to have to pay. You have paid 18 payments on your GT out of 60 or so. Do you really want to start over with 60 more.
The only benefit of the cobra is it should hold its value a little better, but not enough to offset the $$ you have spent on your gt and the depreciation of your gt.
Keeping your car is better financially but its your $$ do whatever you want.

look at the sig. The car makes the boost minus the HP. I'm still pissed about the low HP but then again the fuel was maxed and more timing could be put in but the tuners will not let you over do it. On a stock block. Besides I'm probably like 425 at the fly so the power is their and I'm not really going to change a thing till I get a new motor. I will be at MPH on the 13th to get the car retuned by Tim. Since my tune I've added a X-pipe and BAP so I think I might have picked up some power.
I will have a cobra after the car is paid off. I just hope I can find one with low miles and looks good in 2 yrs.
