Default Exhaust opinions

I really want to get LT's but i dont think i can deal with the scraping issue. So i am currently looking for an X pipe set up. I am quite sure everyone has heard my exhaust clip. What do you guys think SLP or Magnaflow True X?

I know that if I ended up going with something with an x pipe, Id go full slp, but thats just me. Lance has the magnaflow setup, so listen to his clips (well, if he got any yet)

my resonators scrape on speedbumps...so LTs will just scrape with em, its not that bad

and
Mattj did the shorties, dont do shorties, they are a waste even with a blower on the stock block

ive got shorties i just did. it was a pain in the *** but i got them for a steal so I did it. If you are doing headers, do mid lengths or long tubes. SLP has a nice design with removable cats and a non-weld design. you can fit shorties, mid lengths or long tubes on the same x pipe.

i would go with slp if it were me. i've had long tubes and shorties on some of my 5L cars. i'd like to have a set of headers on my 01 but i can't justify the expense for a minimal gain on a stock motor.

Yea, just stick with either longtubes, or nothing.

I have full SLP, yea, my resonators scrape also and im lowered about 1.5". But that's all that scrapes, had LT's and catted X installed since July. I drive over speed bumps every day at my university, have yet to scrape the LT's or the cats. The cats sit nicely above the ground and tucked under. I would say the SLP X only because you have the option to swap out to race pipes or cats. Its nice for me since I stil have E-check in ohio.

Dr gas comes in a puzzle type shape, its all pieces, has to be welded all together. They are great sounding with some flows, but VRS is basically the same thing, just already put together.
