03 Cobra
So I am at my local Ford dealership when I come across a 03 Cobra Dark stone gray with the chrome cobra wheels....Turns out it has 13,740 miles for 24,969...I say ok lets go for a ride....Well it was dark outside so I drove the car...and here is the messed up part..
-car pulls hard to the right ( one of the sales men told me it was just aligned)
-had something stuck to the dash on the right side of the steering wheel on the trim around the cluster (what ever it was the tape or whatever is still there any ideas)
-front bumper all scratched up (I had to pull it inside after the test drive to really see it)
-front bumper loose as can be
-running pony emblem hand tight!
-some one put a keyless entry keypad on the drivers door!!!!<--dumb a$$ idea
-rocker panels scratched up from peoples feet..
-what do you guys think???
-ALSO ? on the inside of the fenders when you open the door are those usually painted...or like a primer???
Thank you,
Mike

Sounds like the whole front end was destroyed then they took it to some nickle and dime body shop to get it fixed. Primer in the doorjams? Thats horrible.
It could have been a car that was raced alot too. If the car was maintained properly that wouldnt be so much of a deal but it sounds like the person who had it before didnt care much.
Why would they have to align the front end on a 13,000 mile car? Dealers never do that unless it needed one BAD like if it was in a wreck.

The funny thing is the car is still pulling even after they said it has been aligned....piece of u know what..I got a nice 01 Mineral gray GT that just hit 29,000 miles im not going to give it up for that thing...The inside of the fenders are rough......i dont know if ford is like that from the factory or if its usually painted...my car is in storage so i didnt get time t ogo look at it last night

IMHO.. If I saw a big ole keypad on the door I would keep walking and not look back. Someone didn't appreciate that Cobra and probably didn't treat it accordingly. That aint no Crown Vic. It don't need to have that, and WHY would anyone add that to a Cobra?? Thats just wrong.. I don't think i'd even consider buying it..

I would't even think about buying this cobra! I work at a dealership and this car clearly has some problems. You don't want to spend the kind of money it would take to make it right. You are better off finding one on e-bay or autotrader for the same money. You should be able to pick up a one owner with under 20,000 miles for about $24-26,000. Best of luck, I hope you find a good one.
