It's true in reality though, I ride a bike that's older than me, has mismatched and trashed fairings, and looks like a dinosaur. but the thing runs like hell, and I love it

 

your bike sounds like my 98. haha. been wrecked by the ex gf, 3 different rims on it, two mismatched 15"s in the rear and 18" up front, orange passenger quarter panel spray painted black, front bumper is that slate color and the hood is primer and the roof has some bondo. haha but she runs like a raped ape.

 

This is a super old thread but I forgot how fun it was while it was happening..... after it was resurrected the first time.
