It's too much work to swap the tranny. Next year i'm going to install a 2,800-3,000 stall and some drag radials. As much as I want a manual I couldnt beat the price of this car. At least I have a V8 ....lol

you need to be slapped.

Here's mine:

MGW's auto ****, a 96 Cobra Boot from 50resto, and a momentary interrupt switch from radio shack for the OD control. Cost me about 100 bucks total.

yeah looks good, but my point is manual is a whole lot more fun then auto...you just can't drive the same with auto...sure it's great for drag racing but if your tryin to corner...

Fly out to CA and I'll change your mind. A properly calibrated auto is just as good in the twisties as it is on the drag strip.

And you can "shift" it manually....

For those that like mine, thanks for the compliments, I'll put together a write up on how to do it when I get home from work.

fact is...why make your auto look like a stick when "supposedly", auto is better than stick(or so auto owners claim). if your auto is so great, just get a different ****, no need to pretend like its stick.

I'd love too, wana pay for the flight...Lol Yeah you can change up the 3rd gear but thats just not the same as manual, also clutch control is completely different, you can't pull through a gear the same. I've raced friends with auto's that go from 1 2 3 D but it's just not guna work. Maybe those trip tramec transmissions are better but even then, it's just so much fun using the pedals and shiftin right. Man i Can't wait to get a short throw in there...

What *** is that, thats almost exactly the one i'm lookin for...

I'm not gonna put a shift boot over the top. I know my car is a auto and have no shame for having a auto. I just thought it would be nice to have something new inside. and I hate the T shifter with a passion

who said i did it to make my auto look like a stick?

fact is the stock auto shifter looks like ***. Shifters without boots look cheap as hell IMO.
