Ya man, supercharge that 3-valve and you can push more than 400... Start readin about sean hylands stuff... and if you have the money airflow research... The best tends to cost $$$!

(it does hurt however that you're driving a giant air sock type brick with a spoiler)

I'll give you one compliment, you have ***** for runnin against a car that runs 13.4 stock... and with a good driver can crack 12's wih a pair of slicks and cool weather.

P.S. you should have known you were going to get beat. Those cobra 4 valve heads don't f***k around.

Your car will run with the Cobra as is if you are doing street light racing to aboy 40 mph, then the blower kicks in and you are done.

Witht a few basic mods, including some suspension work, you can get your car into the high 12's. While a Cobra is a mid 12 car stock, that is with a good driver. I have seen '03/'04 Cobras run at the track mid 13's because they are hard to get to hook and take practice. So, it is conceivable that you could beat some of them.

But, to really be competitive, you would need to super charge your car.

Stay away from Sean Hyland, going for just about anything else is better. But thats another story all together. Look around here. www.modularpowerhouse.com. The owner, Tim Barth has what he calls his Mongoose supercharger kits, he hasnt lost a stock engine yet, and he makes TONS of power. The forums have a post right now where he made almost 500 hp with the stock 05 block. Look into it.

For what that will cost a blower is a better alternative.
