Default Worst night at the track... period.

Seems like every car was doing about a second more than it should have tonight.

These are my first runs with the bullitt and I must say im impressed with the car, dissapointed with my driving (and my ****ty street tires that spun through 1st at a 2,500rpm and 1,500rpm launch...).

Here's the result of tonight at Bithlo...

The track seemed ****ty tonight but that's most likely just me making excuses. It felt like i was running a low 14 run the second time through but to my suprise i was 3/10ths slower than my first run...

It was a cool night in Bithlo and you ran those times.......you should have been able to do much better than that.....your reaction time is miserable I dont know what to say on a extremely hot day I can run a 14.6 on that track and thats when I was pretty much stock and I have a auto and really bad highway tires.

Ya, I honestly don't know what happened. I've never had an r/t over like .6 before tonight. It was a nice cool night as well. A little humid but far from hot. Something was definitely up though, that run by the fox body 5.0 was terrible. The car was sittin on like 13" MT slicks, it had to have been tubbed. Hopefully sunday or next weekend I can at least break the 14's (aiming to beat the 14.5 barrier)...

P.S. Look at my embarrassing 60fts!

WOW!! I don't think I've ever seen 60' foot times that bad!! All I can say is NEW TIRES!!!!!! That's what hurting you, if you were even running 2.2 60's you would have been in the mid 14's easy.

unless youre racing professionally, reaction doesnt factor in. You could take 10 seconds to launch...itd just **** off everyone around you.

And I feel you completely..I was pumped one week to go...and couldnt get under 14.9 in 6 runs over a 2 week period. It was awful

Running strictly street Sumitomo HTR-Z's 275/315 combo. I just spun and spun and spun some more.... Regardless both the 5.0's with their slicks weren't very good through 60ft. As you can see even the fox body with the huge slicks could hardly grab a 2.3....

P.S. It doesn't really bother me since this car's going to be strictly a road course car but i'd like to at least grab some 14's....

Just wait... Once I get my SHM stage 1 heads (to match the extra intake cfm) then it's on... Oh wait, no I'll just spin some more...

The one thing I do like about this damn car is that it sure as **** doesn't die high in the rpms, that flow just keeps up!

I dont understand how you guys get such crappy times. I think you need to learn your cars a little better. I missed 2nd gear TWICE in the SAME RUN, and still ran a 14.9.

First of all I can't see how you miss second gear, I've never missed second in my life, you're obviously jamming those gears way too hard.

I wouldn't be talking about "knowing" ones car until you know how to use a gearbox...

Im shift insanely fast when at the track. If im off by quarter of a second, I miss the gear. I just happen to miss it twice in the same run. I still smoked that jetta I was up against and I had to haul *** to catch him. I know he was like WTF when i roared past him at the last 50 ft.

I don't know about the missing 2nd thing, but I'm with ya. I ran 14.4's bone stock, and now I have traction issues but still run 13.4's on 555's non dr's. I'm hoping with some DR's and headers I'll be in the 12's.

14.3@98 with a 2.08 60' foot bone stock at osw last summer with 101* heat.

you need to learn to slip the clutch out of the hole and power shift thats all. nothing pratice cant fix. i didnt run that fast till had a 2 weeks of pratice at osw every friday and wednesday. started with a 14.8 and got her down to that. just need ot learn to launch it.
