Default Are mustangs supposed to be noisy?

This is my first stang and it kind of makes creaks here and there and whenever I downshift to 2nd before a turn as soon I let off the clutch there seems to be a "DUNG" sound comming from rear end, is that normal? I don't usually here much sound fromg the japanese cars. Are american cars different?

As the car ages, you will hear rattles and creaks as things loosen.

you should look at the bushings that connect the rear end to the car. it sounds like the rear end is shifting around on you. and that's not good. :sad5:

Exclamation P.S. on loudness

And, suspension noises aside, the louder my Mustang gets, the MORE I like it!

Frame connectors stopped some of the squeaks on mine. I get some rattels but with the flowmasters its hard to tell. The worst is the heater fan on mine, it makes noise with on..

i think you might have a problem, mine isnt that bad, theres a rattle in the trunk lid when i slam it down, and when i crank up the bass the passenger door makes a vibe sound sometimes but im too lazy to shove some foam in there to fix it. and the trannys louder since i got the tri-ax but thats expected
