Ok, so the horse represents our cars and the corral represents the garage...but if the Mustang was named after the old Mustang fighter plane..shouldn't we have an airplane in place of the horse and a hanger instead of a corral? Just a thought and curious where the horse came from out of all this?

 

was the plane named after the horse? i mean, it all had to originate with the stallion... i'd much rather have a horse than a plane...

Well obviously the horse was before the plane. I am just curious. Ponygrl is right. The plane could have been named after the horse but I don't know the actual orgin of all of this. I always heard the Mustang was named after the plane. It is just something to think about. I would rather have a horse on my car also, but just wondering if we were named after a plane why is the horse on the car?

 

well they could be a plane.. i mean they sure as hell FLY!!!
but ya it probally came from a horse.. they were around b4 planes..

 

From what I've read they originally wanted it to be named after the fighter plane but changed it for marketing reasons.

good question... i always thought it had soemthing to do with the old shelby cobra's as standalone cars, breeding with the mustang to creat the Cobra's. But, my timeline may be messed up... But 'Cobra' has just always seemed to go with the mustang, to some extent better than 'Ghia' and 'Twister', we won't see those coming back anytime soon... while the mach 1 has returned, and rumors of a boss are on the horizon....
