It doesn't matter that YOU want a "low slung, mean" looking car. Other people want a car they can drive to work in and get 30+ mpg. They want a car that doesn't draw lots of attention and is sensible. All of which, I don't think a Mustang or Corvette can do. Don't be so closed minded. If you like your Mustang then cool. If you don't like a Focus then cool. But it is not because the designers are metrosexuals who only want tall cars that look like rollerskates. It is because they are designing for a target market. Remember, other people have graduated high school and might have needs other than looking cool in their mustang infront of the sophomore girls at the homecoming dance.
find one person other than some chick who thinks the Echo, Element, Beetle, Ion, Insight, or Pirus look cool, then get back to me.

I am not saying that the new cute cars are for every one. But mustangs and vettes etc. aren't either. Some of the cars out there ARE chick cars. Because, guess what? Girls do drive. I know you big macho ex-military 28 year old guys might not wish for women to be able to do so, but they can.
All my point was, is that if it isn't your style then cool. It isn't the "metrosexual designers" fault. It is a companies purpose to stay on top of demand. If the demand for a specific market is a cute tall car with a flower vase, then they make that car. You aren't their target market. The beetle that you used as one example, did nothing but sell like crazy. It is one of the most successful cars. You don't like them. Thats cool. I never said I wanted to drive them, but I know why they exist and who they are intended for. I am just trying to point out to you that cars, like everything else are designed for a target market. I suppose since you don't play with barbie's then they are stupid and shouldn't be made. Or, maybe since you might not like, say, pizza that no one else does either. And I suppose that it is the designer's of Barbie dolls fault that you don't like barbie dolls? That is all I was saying. Point = not everything is designed to please a 28 year old ex-military guy who is into mustangs.
