Sold my mustang and im gonna get a v8 finally so ive come to the conclusion between a few cars here all 94-98 body styles.....tangerine gt stang. 94-95 cobra, black gt convertible 94-98 tell me which one you would take.

how much cash did you get for the stang....
96-98 Cobras are where its at...I got mine with 69K miles for 9k in really good condition!
You get more HP from a 96-98 Cobra than you did with the 95 Cobra R.

Yes, get the 96-98 cobra or youll wish you hadnt bought the GT. The 96-98 gt's are DOGS! Im serious, and no, Im not sorry if I offend a non pi headed car, because you know as well as I, that they are slow. 4v or nothing else...

I know a guy hear selling a 96 snake with 45k miles on it. $6k in mods. I think he wants $7800 or something like that. It is a blue-green color.
He works at the Wilkes-Barre, PA Jiffy Lube. He also has 93 Snake with twin turbos. Needs the cash fast.

hmm
Well ill really have to think about it all but i would like the gt convertible so i can mod the exterior i wouldnt feel comfortable doing it to a cobra but here are the mods that will go down on the tang convertible. cobra r high rise hood, 18 inch chrome y2k cobra rims, cobra r front (poly with saleen s2k rear and sideskirts(poly) black widow tonneau cover and black widow spoiler i thin that will make a nice combo and for the engine etc i plan on chroming out everything i can. Borla exhaust intake and down the road maybe a supercharger.

Well im more leaning toward the tangerine at this point just because its convertible and in such nice shape but if a cobra comes about soon that is convertible i might just take it. Either way im still getting a v8 a sound that will make anyone happy

yeah i need to get some more pics on here. I had some but my computer crashed. they were actually from the guy i bought it from. believe it or not, i do not own a digital camera. I have just been too lazy and cheap to go buy one. I will try to post more soon. but yeah, if you like attention, you will get plenty. at least I do here where I live anyway.

If your looking for a "wow" factor you have to establish which strata of people you're looking to impress.
The first person you need to address is yourself. Do this for you and no one else. You WILL be dissapointed with a non-pi 2v GT in the performance department. It's just that simple. GT's are beautiful cars as anything else...esp. with suspension wheels etc. But personal preference I don't care what it looks like. It's all about performance. All Go..no Show. And to be honest, I've never looked twice at a non-pi GT in the performance catagory. They just don't stand a chance.
A Cobra of any color is certainly more impressive then a GT. Pre95 they are all 5.0 different heads/intake etc. But everyone slaps aftermarket heads on them anyway...so 5.0 GT vs. Cobra it's all the same to me.
any 4V DOHC motor is levels above their SOHC counterparts. And anyone who is serious in the performance world (the only ones you should car about what they think) will immediately give 1 order of magnitude's Kudo's to a Cobra over a GT. It's just that simple. Anything can be made fast...but think of it like this, what's more impressive a wrx or an STI? Entirely different animals, worlds apart in performance.
Think about resale value. The price of the cobra's are decreasing. But in a few years you couldn't sell a GT for nothing...no matter what color etc.
Just give it some thought man.
My educated opinion and recommendation would be a 96-98 4V, or a 99/00 GT if you prefer the boxier shape...but it will follow behind the 4v marginally in performance...but still a strong runner compared to a non-PI GT.
Good luck bud.

Yes all this stuff runs thru my mind everytime i think about what i should do but how hard is it to change the heads taken a set off a 99-04 gt? I have my own personal mechanic if you want to get right down too it. Im really just trying to impress anyone that likes cars not strictly mustang fanatics.
