Default 1/8 mile ???

What would you guys estimate an 02 mustang gt manual with a high flow catted x-pipe, cat back, subframe connectors, shocks struts springs, and a short through shifter would run in the 1/8.

I got a friend with a newer z28 auto thats running low 8's in the 1/8 wanten to race me. What do you think.

high 8 or low 9 depending on traction, driver, and atmospheric conditions

Yeah, you would lose. I have almost the same set-up and I run high 8's.

LS1's are no joke. Aluminum block, aluminum heads. Large (relatively) displacement. Heads and Cam and free mods are cheap.

If it has any kind of modifications it usually takes a lot (read: power adder) to keep up.

This past Thurs. I raced a friend of mine in our car club at school with a 2000 Camaro SS M6, Long tube headers, full exhaust, free mods, whisper lid etc. I have all mods in sig, I sprayed but didn't clear the line or switch to the nitrous tune...so I probably only sprayed a ~30 shot. with 650 psi bottle pressure (Car was maybe around 300rwhp/350 ft lbs)

50-120 roll we were door to door swapping leads etc. Dead-even race. And Ben's a good shifter. I've got a video, but you can't really make out alot (1 vid from behind, another should be from the front and side, but I haven't dl'd the video from Jim yet)

Anyway, good luck if you decide to run him. You'll probably need it.

Yeah, I think you'd lose to it. My guess for your 1/8 is low 9's.. depends on how good of a driver you are, if you can launch, and the humidity outside.

My car only runs high 8's (for now)
